Ref. No. 837LYD

Jun 24, 2010

FEASTERVILLE, PA--Newage Testing Instruments Inc, an established manufacturer and worldwide supplier of hardness testers and accessories, has launched a brand new website at: http://www.hardnesstesters.com. Part of the AMETEK Measurement & Calibration Technologies Division, which also includes Lloyd Instruments’ materials testing machines, Davenport polymer test equipment and Chatillon force measurement and weighing products, Newage Testing Instruments offers a comprehensive range of hardness testers, for Rockwell, Brinell, and Microhardness testing in accordance with ASTM test methods and applicable standards and durometers for testing plastic, rubber and other similar materials to ASTM test methods.

The easy-to-navigate website naturally carries full details of Newage Testing Instruments’ products, as well information on its Brinell optical systems and  softwarefor measurement, data acquisition and analysis along with a comprehensive range of  accessories, including test blocks, anvilsindenters and more. However, the site is much more than an on-line product and service catalog, it also acts as an extremely useful resource for information on many aspects of hardness testing.

Of particular interest is the section on hardness testing applications. This includes an explanation of Hardness Testing Basics as well as definitions of the key testing methods: Rockwell Testing, Brinell Testing, Vickers Testing, Knoop Testing, Durometer and IRHD Testing and Case Depth Testing. There are many useful downloads, including Hardness Conversions for High or  Low Hardness Ranges, Minimum Thickness Requirements, Roundness Correction Factors and Common Problems in Testing. There is also a unique section for ‘selecting a hardness tester’.
